Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist Clerk to support daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, data entry, reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, proficient in Excel, and has prior bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Responsibilities

· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including bills, invoices, sales orders, purchase orders, vendor credits, expenses, and payments

· Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

· Prepare AP and AR aging reports and maintain recurring accounting schedules

· Enter journal entries and verify the accuracy of financial transactions

· Assist with customer billing, inventory processing, packing lists, and shipping labels

· Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers regarding payments, credits, charges, and account balances

· Maintain sales and commission reports and organized accounting records

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

· Previous accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience

· Basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Experience with QuickBooks and Acumatica preferred

· Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
