Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. Min = $20.95 Mid = $26.19 Max = $31.43 Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician II- Intake Screener will work in conjunction with nurses, psychiatrists and other medical professionals to screen all potential referrals for inpatient admission before handing over the assessment to the RN Intake Coordinator to assess. The BH Tech II-Intake Screener works collaboratively to communicate and prioritize patient care and ensure a streamlined approach to screening and will be available to assess in a mobile capacity if needed. Responsibilities: Screens referrals for potential inpatient admission in conjunction with nurses, psychiatrists and other medical professionals. Diffuses situations in which patients wish to harm themselves or others; Ensures patients have a safe and supportive environment. Assists with administrative-related duties, such as admitting and discharging patients when needed and collecting data related to the patient’s stay. Alerts medical professionals to intervene in emergencies. Assists with conducting mobile screenings in person when needed at Onvida Health clinics and with external referral source agencies to ensure timely care to all patients. Maintains strict patient confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. Credentials: Essential: * LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANT (LNA) * BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) * ARIZONA FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE Education: Essential: * HS DIPLOMA/GED Minimum Requirements: High School Equivalency Diploma Fingerprint Clearance Card Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications: BHT Certification 2+ years of patient care experience in a Behavioral Health unit.
