BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician in Tacoma! Are you a passionate technician looking to improve your skills in the veterinary field? If you answered yes, please check us out today! Pay: $25.63 - $36.81/Hr This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

As a Surgery Technician, you will:

• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Safely restrain patients for procedures.
• Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Perform local nerve blocks
• Prepare slides for cytology.
• Proficiently perform digital radiographs.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
• Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
