Located in the Excelsior Crossing building where employees are provided with beautifully landscaped walking paths and water features creating an optimal environment for outdoor and walking meetings, along with the opportunity to take a relaxing walk or outdoor lunch before, within, or after your work day.ResponsibilitiesThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate invoices for payment including but not limited to invoices, credit memos and expense reports. This role is also responsible for the maintenance of vendor master records and weekly payment runs. Direct contact with both internal and external customers as assigned. Be able to work independently and with a group.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInvoice / Expense Report ProcessingResearch and resolve issues and exceptions via the automated invoice processing system in a timely mannerResearch past due invoices, statement balances and take corrective actionProvide guidance to and answer questions from plant locations, co-workers, internal customers and vendorsReview vendor aging report and monitor vendors with a debit balanceProcess, review and audit employee expense reports within Concur in accordance with T&E policyValidate and train inbound invoices entering SAPPayment RunsGenerate multi-million dollar automatic payment runsInitiate wires / ACHs through banking web-siteReview positive pay (paper check & ACH) exception list dailyResearch, prepare and process void check information including stop payments when necessaryVendor MasterResearch and verify new vendor and vendor change requests from internal customersSet-up, maintain and confirm vendors within SAPMaintain W8 & W9 information to keep records updated for 1099sOther Duties/ResponsibilitiesUphold and enforce accounts payable departmental policiesComply with accounts payable SOX guidelinesPerform special projects and other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Experience Required:Minimum of 1-3+ years of accounts payable or other invoice processing related experienceTwo (2) year accounting degree preferredExperience with vendor automated invoice management system strongly preferredExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong trouble shooting, problem solving, decision-making skills and desire to follow through issuesExperience in computerized accounting systems and spreadsheet applicationsMust have a proactive, positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environmentSAP experience preferred#firstinfoodThe pay range for this position is $21.25 to $28.05 per hour.
