The role

We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools, to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd.

As a Product Manager you will play a key role in ensuring our product remains as the market-leading share scheme platform within the Fintech Industry. You will be highly motivated, thrive on autonomy, and have a passion for solving user problems.

What success looks like in year one

• Established and maintained a well-defined, prioritised product backlog with clear, unambiguous user stories that enable efficient delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, providing informed feedback on the product roadmap and ensuring development work aligns with strategic priorities.
• Identified and evaluated opportunities to use AI and automation to improve customer outcomes, internal workflows and product decision-making, balancing value, feasibility and risk.
• Developed a deep understanding of our customers, market and business objectives, using insights and data to inform product decisions.
• Championed the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.
• Ensured delivered features solved the intended customer or business problem by defining success measures and validating outcomes.
• Used product and customer data to measure the success of new features and recommend iterative improvements.
• Worked with the team to continuously review and optimise the process.

What you’ll own

• The product backlog for your area of the application, ensuring it is prioritised, well-defined and aligned with business objectives.
• Product discovery and prioritisation for your area, balancing customer needs, technical considerations and commercial goals.
• Sprint planning, pointing and retrospective meetings with the engineering team you work with
• Cross functional communication and stakeholder alignment for your area of the application
• The successful launch of new features and releases, including communicating changes to internal teams and customers where appropriate.
• Measuring the success of features using customer feedback and product data, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Essential elements for this role

These are the skills and qualifications we consider essential for this role:

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.

• 3-5 years of product management/ownership experience with a SaaS product, preferably in a dynamic scaling market.
• Strong technical understanding of the software development process, including in agile settings.
• Able to independently identify, plan and manage work.
• Experience with collaboration and wireframing tools such as Miro or Figma, and backlog management tools such as Jira.
• Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You must be comfortable with working in a remote-first environment

Nice to have

These will help you stand out from the pack:

• Experience working with AI -enabled products, experimentation, analytics or workflow automation tools, with an understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, privacy and governance considerations.
• Experience of product and data analytics.
• Startup/scaleup experience
• Knowledge of shares and share schemes
