Senior Accountant II, Technical Accounting

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; advanced degrees like MBA are a plus.
- A minimum of three years of related experience, with Big Four public accounting exposure preferred.
- CPA is in active and good standing.
Responsibilities:
- Researching technical accounting queries and offering timely responses to internal consultations.
- Crafting position papers on intricate accounting matters like financing arrangements and joint ventures.
- Collaborating across departments to understand transaction details and provide real-time accounting insights.
- Keeping up with new accounting pronouncements, implementing new standards, and drafting relevant disclosures for SEC filings.
- Contributing to the preparation of quarterly technical accounting updates, including content development and presentation to large audiences.
- Engaging in regular meetings with finance and business teams to monitor contract progress and agenda preparation.
- Assisting in crafting new or revised accounting policies in line with US GAAP.
- Supporting SEC reporting with review/preparation of disclosure checklists and other relevant analyses.
- Ensuring effective execution of vital SOX controls, collaborating with internal and external auditors.
- Undertaking special projects and ad hoc requests from senior management.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expert communication skills articulate ideas effectively to diverse management levels.
- A keen eye for detail combined with sharp critical-thinking skills.
- A proven ability to manage deadlines, juggle projects, and develop strong partnerships.
- Experience in US GAAP technical accounting research and issue resolution.
