Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts vary and include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide critical care services in a fast-paced environment, working with a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for performing assessments, implementing care plans, and providing emergency interventions as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and triage using the ESI scale.
• Administer medications and manage drips/infusions.
• Perform EKGs and various emergency procedures.
• Provide care in critical situations requiring quick decision-making.
• Transport patients as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department.
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS or ENPC, NRP, TNCC, and NIHSS.
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is required.
• Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
