Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to provide essential support to healthcare professionals by performing various patient care activities and ensuring the effective management of patient records. Key Responsibilities Interview patients and measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments. Administer medications, including injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations. Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with hands-on externship completed from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required. BLS certification. CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants. Experience Previous primary care experience preferred.
