Night Custodian

Night Custodian Sussex Technical High School, Sussex Technical School District. Starting Date: August 2026. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in cleaning and/or maintenance of facilities preferred. Possess basic technology skills. Willingness to work as a member of a team and exhibit sound interpersonal skills. Able to perform essential job functions in year‑round weather conditions, lifting 50 lbs., climbing ladders, walking/standing for long periods, and operating necessary cleaning machinery. Performance Responsibilities Work in collaboration with night custodial crew to ensure facilities are clean, attractive, and safe for the school community. Support the maintenance of all indoor areas including hallways, classrooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Assist in care and repair of equipment, management of supplies, and inventory. Communicate effectively with night lead, building chief, school administration, and other staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Exhibit positive and professional interaction with all employees, students, and community members. Work to clear snow when necessary. Support all custodial duties if necessary. Other duties as assigned. Terms of Employment Twelve (12) month position. Night position only – 3:00 – 11:00 daily. Salary and Benefits Pension and benefit eligible position.
