Position Description Summary/Purpose : The Senior Administrative Assistant provides high-leveladministrative and operational support to the Dean of Nursing andHealth Professions and to program directors within the HealthProfessions division. This role supports multiple academicprograms, including Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and other alliedhealth programs, and plays a key role in ensuring effectivecoordination, communication, and day-to-day operations across thedivision. Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities : (The essential functions or duties listed below are intendedonly as illustrations of the various types of work that may beperformed. Administrative Support Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dean ofNursing and Health Professions, including calendar management,meeting coordination, correspondence, and document preparation Support program directors in Nursing, and assigned HealthProfessions programs with scheduling, reporting, and administrativetasks Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and externalstakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and institutionaloffices. Academic and Program Support Assist with coordination of academic program activities,including meetings, site visits, accreditation-related tasks, andspecial projects Prepare, maintain, and organize program documentation, reports,and data related to academic operations and compliancerequirements Support onboarding processes for faculty and staff within thedivision. Operational and Office Management Coordinate workflows across multiple programs to ensuredeadlines and priorities are met Maintain files and records in compliance with institutionalpolicies and confidentiality requirements Assist with budget tracking, contracts, purchasing, andresource coordination as assigned. Communication and Coordination Draft and edit professional communications on behalf of theDean and program directors Facilitate communication among faculty, program directors, andadministrative offices Support division-wide initiatives, events, and meetings. Other Functions : Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation permits Continuing professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends Assists other department staff as needed to promote a teameffort. Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications : Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of three years of progressively responsibleadministrative support experience, preferably in higher educationor healthcare-related settings Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonalskills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academicenvironment Proficiency with standard office software and institutionalsystems. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting senior leadership in an academic orhealthcare setting Familiarity with allied health or nursing educationprograms Experience supporting accreditation, assessment, orcompliance-related activities.
