Job Overview Program Assistant – Mays CityCentre Campus, Houston, Texas. Provide classroom and AV/IT support during evening graduate programs, serve as primary on‑site contact for facility needs, and act as proxy for distance students. The role requires a proactive, customer‑focused individual who can manage classroom logistics, assist with online education equipment, and maintain facility operations. Responsibilities Act as primary point of contact in the evenings for the Executive/Professional MBA and Master of Analytics programs. Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot distance education equipment, including video conferencing and learning management platforms. Provide on‑site AV/IT support to faculty, staff, clients, and students utilizing the CityCentre facility. Stock and replenish admin and logistics supplies, coordinate purchasing and ordering of consumable items, and manage snack and beverage supplies. Schedule and record class sessions, upload and distribute related videos, and maintain schedules for classrooms, meeting rooms, and dining areas. Control electronic building access, manage security systems, and ensure the facility is closed appropriately outside business hours. Provide emergency communications to notify program staff and students and assist with emergency response procedures. Coordinate facility arrangements for graduate program needs and special events. Assist with general administrative support as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 4 years of combined experience in facilities operations, distance learning, customer service, event planning, program management, human resources, and information technology/audio‑visual support. Proficiency in Microsoft 360 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and video‑conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Experience with learning management system tools, customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce), and classroom management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and the capacity to adopt instructional and active‑learning strategies. Critical thinking, proactive decision‑making, and the ability to work independently in high‑pressure situations. Preferred Licenses and Certifications Valid Texas driver license, Class “C”. Professional in Human Resources (PHR). CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Texas Food Handlers certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry classroom and logistics material up to 20 pounds with assistance; ability to move light, medium, or heavy objects with assistance.
