Import/Export Coordinator

Join our dynamic team in Tewksbury, MA as an Import/Export Coordinator. Take charge of preparing and coordinating domestic and international shipments in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, compliance, and efficiency are valued. Start your workday at 7am, Monday through Friday, and play a crucial role in ensuring on-time and compliant delivery of goods worldwide.

[Responsibilities]

- Prepare and process domestic and international shipments in line with customer and regulatory requirements
- Generate and verify export documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and shipping labels
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and international customs laws
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams
- Schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve shipping discrepancies or delays
- Verify shipment accuracy by cross-checking sales and purchase orders with packing instructions
- Package products securely to prevent damage during transit
- Operate shipping software and ERP systems to process orders and documentation
- Maintain organized records of export transactions and shipping materials inventory
- Support warehouse, receiving, and inventory activities as needed
- Uphold all safety procedures and quality standards

[Required Skills and Experience]

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 2 years of shipping experience (domestic and international)
- Knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures (commercial invoices, HS/HTS codes)
- Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight providers)
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and shipping software
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Able to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

[Preferred Skills]

- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Forklift certification
- Understanding of Incoterms and international trade compliance
- Experience or training in hazardous materials shipping regulations
