Major duties include managing investment activities for a growing set of major fee revenue producing accounts, assisting in development and recommendations to achieve investment objectives for specific individual clients, working with Investment Advisors to understand the overall investment strategy, developing an influential presence with the local client facing team, consistently demonstrating increasing proficiency with new investment strategies, tools and capabilities, providing high level support to the Investment Advisory team, adhering to best practices, contributing towards the execution of initiatives, new capability rollouts, and required training, providing continuous feedback on areas for improvement to leadership on national initiatives, changes, and expectations, and adhering to National Investment Guidelines.

Knowledge required includes investment and portfolio management theory, accounting and financial principles, associated investment strategies and instruments, and characteristics of various marketplaces, analytical and interpretive skills, in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

Experience required includes minimum 2 to 4 years of investment experience working in investment services industry, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience, and leading small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.

Salary range is $114,540 - 194,580 USD. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
