TruBlue of Chicagoland North is a locally owned TruBlue Home Service Ally franchise serving homeowners throughout the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago. We provide professional handyman repairs, home maintenance, safety upgrades, and accessibility solutions for seniors, busy adults, and families who want worry-free living at home. We are hiring a skilled Handyman to perform a wide range of residential repair and maintenance projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who is experienced, professional, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in customers' homes. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, communicates well, and understands that this role is not just about fixing things; it is about building trust with homeowners. Key Responsibilities * Perform general home repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects * Complete projects involving carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, basic plumbing, basic electrical, tile, doors, trim, decks, and punch-list work * Support senior safety and accessibility projects such as grab bars, ramps, and home modifications * Communicate professionally with homeowners, including seniors and families * Keep work areas clean, safe, and respectful of the customer's home * Document work as needed, including photos and job notes * Represent TruBlue with professionalism, reliability, and care Qualifications * 4-5+ years of hands-on handyman, remodeling, construction, or home repair experience * Strong skills across multiple trades; finish carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms, drywall, painting and general repairs preferred * Preference for experience doing kitchen and/or bathroom remodels * Must have your own tools * Valid driver's license and clean driving record required * Must be willing to do a background check after a conditional offer * Reliable transportation to and from work required * Comfortable working independently in occupied homes * Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and customer-first mindset * Experience working with seniors or homeowners is a plus Pay and Benefits * Full-time, W-2 employment * Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level * Company vehicle provided after successful completion of onboarding, subject to company policy. * TruBlue-branded gear provided * Steady, year-round work * Strong office support and organized scheduling * Growth opportunity as the company expands Why TruBlue of Chicagoland North At TruBlue , we are building a higher standard for home services.
