Responsibilities include conducting research, writing requirements, developing models, defining interfaces and performing analysis while working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure to drive the development of new program requirements, refine existing program requirements, and influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities.The selected candidate will collaborate across the engineering disciplines and technology areas to integrate and communicate technical capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers across Modernization and Sustainment efforts.Job Responsibilities:Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts following proper configuration management procedures.Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifactsPossess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communications skills to support coordination across IPTs and with external customers.Solicit input from various stakeholders and team members to synthesize data and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.This position may be filled at either the Associate Systems Engineer (Level 1) OR Systems Engineer (Level 2).Basic Qualifications:Associate Systems Engineer (Level 1) - Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.Systems Engineer (Level 2) - Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering.Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearanceAbility to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.Experience with Python or other scripting languagePreferred Qualifications:Experience with requirements development and verification planningFamiliarity with Systems Engineering tools, such as DOORS and CameoFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Experience with software developmentExperience with HW/SW integration testingExperience with Agile executionActive DoD Secret or Top Secret ClearanceActive/current SAP clearance (any SAP)Primary Level Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $112,700.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
