Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a pediatric OR position requiring a minimum of two years of pediatric scrub experience and Level I trauma center experience.

Pediatric OR setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU facility

Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0700-1730

Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities required

Floating required as needed

Epic charting system experience preferred

Minimum of two years of pediatric scrub experience required

Completion of a surgical technologist program or two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of program completion

BLS certification from the American Heart Association required

CST certification preferred

License required if applicable

Teaching hospital and Level I trauma center experience required

Strong skills required in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Orthopedic procedures

Must demonstrate proficiency across a broad range of pediatric surgical specialties including neurology, general surgery, endoscopy, trauma, craniofacial/plastics, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, transplant, and urology

Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification

Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
