Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Float required within the facility system as needed.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with 44-bed capacity serving a diverse patient population including oncology, cardiac, post-surgical, COPD, sepsis, and respiratory patients
• Strong focus on cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation with telemetry experience required
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive 32-hour orientation program provided
• First-time travelers welcome to apply (candidates with only 1 year of experience subject to manager review)
• Specialized unit environment requiring security clearance access

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in specialty (must be current and consistent within last 12 months)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience mandatory
• Demonstrated experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Proficiency in IV insertion and peripheral line management
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
