Position Summary:
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service? JWilliams Staffing is seeking a Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our Finance team by managing client billing, payment processing, account reconciliations, collections, and customer account maintenance.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payment collection, and positive client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Process and distribute client invoices and account statements
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Post client payments and maintain accurate payment records
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices and payment status
• Support account reconciliations and month-end processes
• Maintain accurate client records and billing documentation
• Partner with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and timely resolution of issues

What We're Looking For

• Experience in billing, accounts receivable, collections, or accounting support
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting or billing software is a plus

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts receivable, billing practices, invoice processing, payment posting, and client account maintenance.
• Ability to review financial, billing, and account information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Customer-service oriented with the ability to maintain positive client relationships while following up on payment issues or account discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple accounts, tasks, and follow-up items effectively.
• Ability to research discrepancies, identify account issues, document findings, and escalate matters appropriately.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and business information with discretion.
• Basic understanding of client service agreements, billing terms, purchase orders, and related business documentation preferred.
• Experience using accounting systems, payroll/billing systems, CRM platforms, ERP software, or other business systems preferred.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of accounts receivable, billing, accounting support, collections, or related finance/accounting experience required.
• Experience in a staffing, professional services, business-to-business, or high-volume billing environment preferred.
• Experience reviewing invoices, payment records, aging reports, client account records, and billing documentation preferred.
• Experience with business systems, CRM platforms, payroll/billing systems, or ERP software preferred.
