Special Education Teacher
Location: Cleveland, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs reach their academic, social, and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals.
Provide engaging, differentiated instruction in individual and small-group settings.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and assessment data.
Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, families, counselors, and related-service providers.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Implement appropriate behavioral and classroom-management strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school activities.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and district special education requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility for appropriate Ohio special education licensure.
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.
