Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts between 0640 - 1710. Day and evening coverage with rotating day off each week. No weekends, no holidays.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care OR experience within the last 3 years
• Previous OR circulation experience required (inpatient or ambulatory setting)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Scope of Practice

This position serves as an integral member of the surgical team performing a wide variety of multispecialty procedures including general surgery, gynecological procedures, orthopedic cases, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, dental surgery, and reconstructive procedures. The RN assumes overall responsibility for management of the assigned operating room and provides circulating and scrubbing support as needed.
