About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg units License: RN License (WI or Compact) required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Basic Arrhythmia experience - Telemetry test clearance required prior to start Description: This position involves floating across multiple departments and specialties. You will care for complex and dynamic patient populations in various medical and surgical general care units as well as intermediate care units. Your role includes providing high-quality, evidence-based care. You will utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients. Recognizing and escalating complications is essential. Administer appropriate nursing interventions while demonstrating a commitment to patient and family-centered care. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams of nurses, nursing assistants, advanced practice providers, and medical teams. Effective interpersonal communication skills and task delegation will be important in this role. Experience in different Med/Surg units like cardiac, spine, and neuro is required. You will be expected to float to neuro and oncology as needed. Basic Arrhythmia knowledge is also necessary. A telemetry exam must be passed prior to starting the position.
