About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Two years of acute care experience within the last three years is required. License: WI RN or compact RN license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: EPIC experience is required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: This position offers day and night shifts with 12-hour schedules. The nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional and collaborative environment. Responsibilities include caring for patients with complex medical diagnoses. This unit is a fast-paced acute care setting focusing on medical education. The organization emphasizes a culture of respect and teamwork among healthcare providers. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 28-29. Interdisciplinary support services are available including physical therapy and respiratory services. The unit specializes in general internal medicine and infectious diseases. Blood product administration, central line care, and telemetry monitoring are essential skills required for this position. The role requires knowledge of isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias. Travelers may need to float to similar units as required.
