The STEP, Inc. Head Start program is seeking an ERSEA Coordinator to lead enrollment and compliance efforts for our Early Learning programs, including Head Start, Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts, HSSAP, and other family-focused initiatives. In this role, you will be at the center of ensuring eligible children and families have access to high-quality early childhood services while maintaining excellence in regulatory compliance, recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and community partnerships.

Pay Rate: $22.53 per hour

What You'll Do

As the ERSEA Coordinator, you will oversee the full ERSEA process:

Enrollment & Eligibility

• Lead recruitment efforts for children, families, pregnant women, and children with disabilities.
• Determine and document eligibility in accordance with federal and state requirements.
• Manage waiting lists, enrollment, transfers, and enrollment terminations.
• Monitor attendance and develop strategies to increase participation and engagement.

Program Leadership

• Support and guide Family Advocates and program staff.
• Recommend selection priorities and ensure fair, compliant enrollment processes.
• Develop and oversee enrollment-related policies, procedures, training, and technical assistance.
• Participate in strategic planning, self-assessments, and monitoring reviews.
  

Data, Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
• Monitor program performance indicators and compliance requirements.
• Produce reports that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) attendance and reporting requirements.

Partnerships & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with community organizations and service providers.
• Collaborate with transportation staff to coordinate student transportation needs.
• Represent the program on advisory committees and community groups.
• Advocate for children, families, and early learning services throughout the community.

Requirements

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Advanced training and at least three years of experience in family support, social services, human services, or a related field.
• Three years of experience with recordkeeping, organization, and administrative systems.
• At least one year of experience planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working with families and children.
• Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of Head Start, Early Childhood Education, enrollment systems, or compliance-driven programs.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates must complete all required background clearances, health screenings, and training requirements. Occasional evening hours, weekends, and travel may be required.
