Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing daily accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.
2. Coordinating and executing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reported on time.
3. Conducting financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and aid in decision-making processes.
4. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
5. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
6. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to facilitate reviews and audits.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
8. Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, providing variance analysis and detailed reports to management.
9. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in financial analysis, financial accounting, general ledger management, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations.
4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
