Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator

The Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator is a vital role that requires professional communication, the ability to work independently as well as a team, and is self-motivated. The patient care coordinator is responsible for the following:
Answering phone calls
Transferring phone calls as needed
Confirming patient appointments
Receiving and sending faxes
Receiving and sending emails
Sending messages to providers and additional staff
Sitting for long periods of time
Scanning documents
Processing DME requesting
Obtaining new patient information
Checking voice mails and responding to them
Additional responsibilities may arise after proper training and as needed for the workplace.
\nCompany DescriptionVPS of USA provides in-home and facility-based medical care to patients across Michigan, and performs consultative examinations under contract with the State of Michigan Disability Determination Services (DDS). Our DDS line currently covers internal medicine and speech therapy, and we're adding psychiatry.
