e-Billing Specialist

Our client is looking for a Billing Specialist to join their team! Manage the end‑to‑end appeals process for client invoices, from issue identification through final resolution and tracking. Draft clear, persuasive appeal narratives for attorney review and approval to optimize success rates and recoveries. Monitor and manage appeal deadlines across multiple e‑billing platforms to prevent forfeiture of appeal rights and maximize recovery opportunities. Maintain a detailed appeals log, tracking status, outcomes, and aging for short‑paid and rejected invoices. Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, and billing staff to obtain supporting information and documentation needed for effective appeals. Communicate consistently and proactively on appeal status and outcomes to Billing, Collections, and client teams. Prepare reporting to share insights with Finance and LPM. Participate in process‑improvement and training initiatives related to billing and OCG compliance. Perform other projects assigned by the Billing Manager and Director of Legal Project and Practice Management. Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred. Experience collaborating with LPM, pricing, or client relationship teams on billing and OCG compliance preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years legal e-billing or appeals experience with electronic billing or appeals, preferably in law firm environment. Knowledge of 3E and eBillingHub a plus. Hands‑on experience and advanced skills utilizing major e‑bill vendor portals required. Flexible to work overtime as required during peak billing/appeals cycles.
