Wolf Powder Coating is looking for an experienced, hands-on Powder Coating Quality Control Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our powder coating facility. This is a key leadership position responsible for production, quality, workflow, employee development, and maintaining the processes that keep our shop running efficiently.

We are looking for someone who knows powder coating from the floor up and can lead a team while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate production from pre-treatment and preparation through powder application, curing, inspection, and packaging
• Oversee quality control, including:
• • Film thickness
  • Adhesion
  • Cure quality
  • Color and finish consistency
  • Customer specifications
• Troubleshoot coating defects and implement corrective actions
• Train, mentor, and hold employees accountable for proper preparation, application, handling, and quality procedures
• Develop and maintain shop SOPs, process documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
• Monitor production efficiency and labor utilization
• Coordinate with customers regarding specifications, quality concerns, and special requirements
• Manage powder, chemicals, consumables, and other production supplies
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and help prevent production downtime
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
• Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and quality standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste and rework
• Work closely with company leadership to improve overall shop performance

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional powder coating or industrial finishing experience
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Surface preparation and pretreatment
  • Powder application
  • Oven curing
  • Film thickness and inspection
  • Coating defects and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and inspection practices
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable working hands-on with employees and production processes
• Forklift experience and basic computer skills are a plus
