We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our staffing agency in Harlingen, TX . The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting, interviewing, onboarding employees, completing Form I-9 , conducting background checks, and performing accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and source qualified candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire, and permanent positions.
• Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, availability, and qualifications.
• Complete and verify Form I-9 and employment eligibility documentation in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Initiate and monitor background checks, drug tests, and other pre-employment screenings .
• Coordinate and schedule candidates for required drug testing and medical screenings .
• Follow up on background check and drug test results and maintain accurate records.
• Collect and verify candidate information, employment history, identification, and required documentation.
• Enter and maintain accurate candidate, employee, and placement information in the company’s database and staffing systems.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical personnel files.
• Contact candidates regarding job opportunities, interviews, drug testing, onboarding requirements, and assignment details.
• Coordinate candidate placements and communicate start dates, schedules, and job requirements.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, paperwork, and other administrative tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and candidate information.
• Communicate with clients to understand staffing needs and provide qualified candidates.
• Track recruiting activity, candidate status, drug screening status, placements, and other staffing-related information.
• Provide excellent customer service to both candidates and clients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, or office administration preferred.
• Experience completing I-9 forms and employment documentation .
• Experience processing background checks and drug testing .
• Experience scheduling and coordinating pre-employment drug screenings.
• Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
• Accurate and efficient data entry and computer skills .
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented.

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay may increase after successfully completing the probationary period, based on performance and overall fit for the position.
