Factoring Operations Specialist

Position : Factoring Operations Specialist
Location: Rochester, NY (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary:
Responsible for back-office financial operations including payroll, invoicing, funding, cash application, reconciliations, and exception management while supporting Relationship Managers and meeting banking deadlines.

Key Requirements:
Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Strong Excel and data management skills
Knowledge of payroll taxes, AP, AR, cash posting, and reconciliations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines
Factoring, payroll, or financial operations experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare funding, AR, and reserve reports
Build and validate Excel/CSV files and invoice data
Process wires, ACH transactions, and cash applications
Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Research and document exception items
Maintain accurate, audit-ready records
Identify process and workflow improvements
