Physician Assistant, PD, Orthopedic Surgery - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center. This is a per diems position covering evenings and weekends for an established outpatient orthopedic team. The primary role includes assisting in orthopedic cases, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, evaluating and treating patients in the office, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care. The PA will provide coverage during evenings and weekends and work collaboratively to accommodate scheduling needs whenever possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in orthopedic cases. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Evaluate and treat patients in the office. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and allied health professionals. Provide coverage during evenings and weekends. Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey. Certified by the National Board of Certification of Orthopaedic Physician's Assistants. ACLS and BLS certification required. 3–5 years of orthopedic experience preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills. Enthusiastic, willing to learn, and takes on challenges. Strong work ethic, team player, and able to work independently.
