Shipping Supervisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to manage local transportation of products, packaging parts, stocking shelves, and preparing freight shipments such as pallets and crates. You will adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards to ensure the highest level of service and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Transport products locally with efficiency and care.
• Package parts and ensure they are ready for shipment.
• Stock shelves and manage inventory control.
• Prepare freight shipments including pallets and crates.
• Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management and material handling.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including FedEx.
• Strong data entry and computer skills, including SAP proficiency.
• Ability to perform cycle counts, packing, loading, and unloading.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous shipping and receiving experience is a plus.
• Forklift operator certification preferred or ability to obtain certification post-hire.
• Familiarity with MPCS is advantageous.
• Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap is beneficial.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet business demands.

Work Environment

The role requires standing, using hands, reaching with arms, and effective communication. You must be able to work in confined spaces and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are needed. The work environment may be loud, and you must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
