Staffing Coordinator

Responsibilities Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a 97‑bed facility located in Springfield, Illinois. We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents presenting with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for all scheduling functions of the Nursing department staff to meet quality and safety objectives, and provides administrative and clerical support for Nursing Administration staff. Duties and Responsibilities Track all nursing administration paperwork (24‑hour reports, census sheets, assignment sheets, house census sheets) and file. Report 1:1 number to administration daily. Complete payroll reporting daily; process time‑off pay and track unit budgets. Schedule staffing for all units, approve/deny time‑off requests, track staffing numbers, and adjust staffing relative to admissions and employee call‑ins. Track attendance issues with all nursing staff and communicate to appropriate leaders. Maintain complete minutes for nursing meetings (Leadership, RN, RN Supervisor, Adolescent team, Pediatric team, night shift team). Assist CNO with reports regarding staffing issues (e.g., short lunches). Coordinate staff training and development (CPI, CPR, etc.) with Clinical Nurse Educator. Coordinate staff meetings and transcribe departmental meeting minutes. Compose and type all correspondence and reports for the Chief Nursing Officer when assigned. Perform clerical tasks including facility administrative records, answering and initiating phone calls and intercom pages in a professional manner. Effective oral and written communication skills. Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines. Ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality of information. Strong Microsoft Office, Kronos, ShiftHound, and computer skills. Strong customer service skills to external and internal customers. Education: high school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
