Profession: NP/PA Specialty: General Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Georgia Location: Atlanta, Decatur Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Aug 05 - Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:30a – 4:30p rotating weekends may be needed Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Support Staff (OR): S urgeon, Scrub tech, circulating RN, CRNA Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by AgencyPATIENT INFORMATION
Average Daily Volume: 10 30 cases/day Case Mix: Surgical Assist (Gen Surgery, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Urology, ENT)FACILITY INFORMATION
EMR System: EpicPRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: NoJOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BC/BE Licenses: GA Certifications: BLS Duties & Responsibilities Assist surgeons in the OR across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT Perform surgical first-assist duties during scheduled non-urgent cases, typically Mon-Fri, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Collaborate with the surgical team including surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA to ensure safe, efficient procedures Manage intraoperative tasks such as tissue handling, suturing, wound closure, and hemostasis as directed by the surgeon Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR for all surgical cases #J-18808-Ljbffr Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLCVacancy posted 1 day ago
