Job Description:

• Builds and maintains professional relationships with all vendors and their employees.

• Uses a forklift or pallet jack to unload deliveries as needed.

• Orders and maintains appropriate inventory levels using a computer-based inventory system.

• Receives deliveries, monitors and tracks food temperatures of perishables, and stores items promptly to maintain food safety according to regulatory guidelines.

• Communicates with staff to avoid shortages and ensure adequate stock is available for departmental needs; takes immediate action when shortages occur and offers appropriate substitutions.

• Communicates with multiple vendors, both internal and external, to resolve back orders and shortages; follows correct procedures for additional product orders.

• Promptly communicates with area leadership and staff regarding inventory status and issues.

• Maintains accurate records and processes invoices according to department guidelines; submits to appropriate departments in a timely manner for payment.

• Communicates with vendors on product and delivery issues, including quality, price, and product errors.

• Holds accountability for food safety and sanitation inspection scores in storage areas; labels, dates, and rotates stock using FIFO method.

• Ensures the efficient receiving, unloading, and stocking of deliveries from vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms. [Required]

• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide and percentages. [Required]

• High proficiency using Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). [Required]

• Ability to manage time to meet daily deadlines. [Required]

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. [Required]

• Ability to communicate with others in an effective manner that facilitates problem solving, interacts in a courteous, respectful, and helpful manner. [Required]

• Ability to create reports and trackers. [Required]

• Comfortable working for an extended time in coolers and freezers. [Required]

• Understanding of Inventory Management Application Systems. [Required]

• Experience with CBORD systems [Preferred]

• Knowledge of AdventHealth procurement practices [Preferred]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:

• 1+ work experience in food & beverage, inventory management roles, or supply chain [Preferred]

• Food Service warehouse [Preferred]

• Inventory control and ordering [Preferred]

Additional Information:

Licenses and Certifications:

• ServeSafe Certification (SERV) [Preferred]

• Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certification (FKLT) [Preferred]
