Merit System Services Analyst (ANALYST II) Department of Human Resources / California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,775.00 per Month. About this Role The Merit System Services (MSS) program provides human resource/personnel consultation and oversight to local agencies statewide. As a Merit System Services Analyst, you will help ensure that local agencies operate a merit-based personnel system. Oversight includes recruitment, selection, appointment, classification, compensation, training, EEO, and fair political practices. Responsibilities Consult with local agencies on personnel policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with merit-based personnel requirements across recruitment, selection, appointment, classification, compensation, and training. Provide guidance on EEO and fair political practices. Document and recommend improvements to local agencies' personnel processes. Minimum Requirements Refer to the Class Specification for the minimum qualifications. Position: ANALYST II.
