About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of uniting youth across diverse backgrounds and identities through the practice and performance of circus arts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organization's growth and development, with a focus on whole-person development, social inclusion, and artistic expression. This role requires a leader who can foster a culture of trust, humility, and love, and who is dedicated to the principles of social circus and its impact on youth facing various barriers. The Executive Director will work in partnership with the Board and staff to set a clear direction, deepen community trust, and lead fundraising efforts to ensure that the organization's resources align with its ambitious mission. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a strong background in nonprofit management, with experience in program development, community engagement, and fundraising. The role demands a leader with a deep commitment to the values of the organization, including culturally responsive relationships and an equity lens that centers youth voice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading a team, managing a budget, and building strategic partnerships. A passion for the arts, education, and social change is essential, as is the ability to inspire and mobilize a diverse community around a shared vision. A relevant degree in a related field is preferred, and experience in the circus arts or a similar creative discipline is a plus.
