Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations on patients across various age groups: pediatric, adult, and geriatric, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting immediate objectives and long-term goals in communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to enhance comprehensive care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Ensure documentation is precise and punctual, adhering to state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Commit to continual professional growth by staying abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and peer discussions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
