Location: Marietta, GA
About the Position: We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Receivable (AR) / Cash Applications Professional to become an integral part of our financial team. This in-office position requires a candidate who can efficiently process incoming payments, diligently manage receivables, and maintain comprehensive records with precision. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and post incoming payments in adherence to our financial procedures.
- Ensure timely and error-free transaction processing.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all payments are correctly documented and posted.
- Generate detailed financial reports on accounts receivable status.
- Address and resolve payment discrepancies in collaboration with our sales and customer service teams.
- Implement the collection process for overdue accounts.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all cash application activities.
- Assist in month-end closing activities.
- Advocate for continuous improvements in payment processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Cash Application Specialist, or in a similar capacity.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet stringent deadlines.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and accountability.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $72,000 annually, based on experience.
