As a Network Technician I, you will join DoIT’s support team serving multiple county sites and offices in downtown Martinez. Your role will include providing desktop and network support across sites, assisting users with varying technical backgrounds, and collaborating with Network Administrators on projects. Vendor Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Tanium Certified Operator, vendor-specific certifications, Tesira Certifications, Crestron Certifications, Dante Digital Audio Certification Levels 1 – 3. License Requirement: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Out of State valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License will be accepted during the application process. Education: Possession of an Associatesof Arts degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science or information processing OR completion of 24 semester units or 36 quarter units in computer science or information systems Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience performing computer and network systems equipment installation duties. Substitution for Education: (1) Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two (2) years. (2) Possession of a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or other comparable network-focused certifications at an equivalent or higher level may substitute for six (6) months of the required education per certification, up to a maximum of two (2) years.
