Job Description
The Prescription Refill Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers by efficiently managing prescription refill requests and prior authorizations within a busy medical environment. This position emphasizes accurate electronic medical record maintenance and effective communication between patients and providers, ensuring timely access to medications. Reporting directly to providers, the coordinator works independently and collaboratively within the healthcare team, with no travel required between sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Coordinate medication related communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Support daily administrative tasks within the healthcare team
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all prescription-related processes
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Pharmacy/Medication -related knowledge or experience
