Vice President, Enterprise Transformation - Office of the CIO Location: South Florida. Florida-based or relocatable candidates strongly preferred Travel: Meaningful and consistent presence at corporate headquarters is required. Employment Type: Full-time executive leadership role Compensation: Executive package including base salary, annual bonus and long-term incentive eligibility Overview We are supporting a confidential executive search for a large public company with a national operating footprint. Reporting directly to the CIO, this executive will lead enterprise transformation within the Office of the CIO and help connect business priorities, technology investments, and measurable execution. This is not a traditional PMO role, a strategy-only Chief of Staff position or hands-on technology operations role. The successful candidate will be a business-facing transformation executive who can build the governance, investment, discipline, operating model, and accountability required to move major enterprise priorities forward. The person must understand technology well enough to lead and challenge major ERP, workday, data modernization, M&A, and platform initiatives. However the role does not require someone who can personally architect or build the technology. The emphasis is on business transformation, portfolio and financial stewardship, organizational adoption, and executive influence. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted operating and transformation partner to the CIO. Build and lead the enterprise transformation operating model, including portfolio governance, planning cadence, decision forums, executive reporting and cross-functional accountability. Translate business problems and strategic priorities into technology-enabled transformation initiatives with clear ownership, funding and measurable outcomes. Lead portfolio prioritization, business-case development, CapEx and OpEx tradeoffs, benefits realization, resource planning and investment decisions. Partner with divisional CIOs, technology VPs, business executives and Finance to challenge demand, resolve competing priorities and determine which initiatives should proceed. Provide executive leadership across major ERP, Workday, data, digital, M&A, modernization and operating-model programs. Ensure business and technology leaders remain accountable for adoption, financial value and sustained outcomes after implementation. Strengthen organizational adoption by changing roles, decision rights, operating routines, incentives and behaviors, not simply communications and training. Translate complex technology, financial and organizational issues into clear business implications and decisions for executive audiences. Influence strong senior leaders without relying on direct authority, unnecessary confrontation or personal ownership of the spotlight. Lead and develop Office-of-the-CIO transformation, governance, portfolio and change leaders. Ideal Background 15 or more years of progressive leadership across enterprise transformation, Office of the CIO, technology strategy, portfolio governance, business technology or operating-model change. Recent VP, AVP, Senior Director, Head of Office of the CIO, CIO Chief of Staff, transformation executive, global PMO leader or equivalent scope within a large enterprise. Proven success leading business transformation enabled by major technology initiatives from problem definition through adoption and measurable value. Direct experience partnering with a CIO and working across senior business, technology and financial leadership teams. Strong financial and investment acumen, including business cases, portfolio prioritization, CapEx, OpEx, resource tradeoffs and benefits realization. Experience establishing or materially improving a transformation office, portfolio-governance model, executive operating cadence or enterprise decision process. Sufficient technology fluency to understand and challenge ERP, Workday, applications, data, architecture, integrations, cyber and modernization decisions without needing to be the technical architect. Demonstrated ability to challenge powerful executives constructively, influence peers without formal authority and build accountability across a matrixed organization. Strong organizational-change experience that extends beyond communications and training into roles, behaviors, decision rights and operating routines. Large-enterprise corporate operating experience. A consulting foundation followed by sustained corporate execution is highly valued. Locally Present: Recognizes that trust and influence in this organization require meaningful time with the CIO, leadership team and Office of the CIO in South Florida. Not a Fit For A traditional PMO leader focused primarily on milestones, templates and status reporting. A methodology-first Agile, product-delivery or QA transformation leader. A hands-on infrastructure, architecture, engineering, cloud or cybersecurity operator whose experience is primarily technical. A strategy-only Chief of Staff without transformation execution, financial stewardship and technology credibility. A business transformation leader who cannot credibly engage senior technology executives. A consulting-only candidate who has advised on transformation but has not owned outcomes inside a complex enterprise. A remote-only executive who cannot maintain a meaningful South Florida presence. Nice-to-Have Experience Fortune 1000 or publicly traded company experience. Prior Office-of-the-CIO, transformation-office, enterprise portfolio or CIO-partner leadership. Major ERP, Workday, data, M&A, modernization or business operating-model transformation. Technology financial management, value realization, vendor governance and executive decision support. Experience across global, matrixed and operationally complex organizations.
