We are looking for hardworking professionals who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. This position will be a long-term stainless prefab piping project.This position will plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of process piping and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and train welder helpers.Examine/inspect working conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may occur. Take corrective actions as needed.Choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.Be motivated and work productively and safely.Perform all other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsRequired:Minimum of 5 years of welding experience required.Prior welding experience in the construction, mining or related industry or prefer a two-year vocational-technical degree.OSHA 10 certification preferred.Completing a welding qualification is a requirement.Orbital welding training will be provided but prior orbital welding experience is a plus.Must meet all state license requirements.Preferred:OSHA 10Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.High attention to detail.Must be a quick learner and motivated.Ability to travel and relocate as needed.Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
