Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and secure new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within the CRM platform.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer logistics challenges and transportation needs.
- Develop customized proposals, pricing, and presentations that align with customer requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and close profitable business while meeting gross margin objectives.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across target accounts.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and business development updates to leadership.
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue and gross profit targets.
- Minimum 5 years of logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain sales experience.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong business development and new logo acquisition experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and freight optimization.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Existing network within transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.
- Experience selling domestic transportation, freight forwarding, brokerage, or logistics solutions.
- Strong understanding of logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS).
