We’re looking for an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team! This role is essential to the day-to-day servicing of our employee benefits clients. Working closely with our Client Renewal Advisors (CRAs), you’ll help manage account details, coordinate with insurance carriers, resolve benefits-related issues, and ensure clients receive accurate, timely, and dependable service. What You’ll Do: Provide Day-to-Day Account Support: Handle ongoing employee benefits service requests, maintain client account information, and support the daily needs of an assigned book of business in partnership with the Client Renewal Advisor. Support the Client Renewal Advisor: Work behind the scenes to help manage client accounts, prepare information, coordinate follow-up, and ensure service needs are addressed efficiently and accurately. Coordinate with Insurance Carriers: Communicate with carriers regarding eligibility, enrollment, plan changes, claims, billing, policy information, and other administrative matters. Resolve Benefits Administration Issues: Research and troubleshoot employee benefits questions and administrative concerns, working with carriers and internal team members to find solutions. Manage Enrollment and Eligibility Changes: Assist with new hires, terminations, qualifying life events, plan changes, open enrollment updates, and other employee benefits transactions. Assist with Renewals and Plan Implementation: Gather and organize renewal information, request carrier data, prepare supporting documentation, and assist with plan changes and implementation activities. Maintain Accurate Account Records: Update agency management systems, maintain client files, document service activities, and ensure account information is accurate and up to date. Support Employee Enrollment: Assist with enrollment materials, employee communications, carrier submissions, and follow-up to help ensure a smooth enrollment experience. Monitor and Follow Through on Requests: Track outstanding items, follow up with carriers and other parties, and keep the Client Renewal Advisor informed of progress, issues, and resolutions. Deliver Exceptional Service: Approach every request with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for clients and their employees. What We’re Looking For: Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in employee benefits Current Health insurance license is required Must be located within 2-hours of the Fox Valley Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A client-first mindset with a passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional service.
