The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in clinical practice, research, and education, particularly in the field of cardiology. This role is pivotal in the development and expansion of a complex cardiology service line across multiple high-volume hospitals, with a focus on advancing clinical growth and supporting the academic mission. The Chief of Cardiology will be responsible for shaping the division's strategy, managing performance, and driving priorities in the cardiology domain. A collaborative leadership approach, a commitment to education and scholarship, and a proven record of clinical excellence are essential for this position. Candidates for the Chief of Cardiology role at the company should be accomplished cardiology physicians with experience in an academic medical center or integrated health system. The ideal candidate will have a background in overseeing multi-site cardiology programs and working with administrative and operational partners to enhance quality, expand access, and drive growth. A strong educational and scholarly background is required, and the candidate must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board certified in cardiology or a related subspecialty, and be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois. The Chief of Cardiology will also serve as a co-leader of the broader Cardiovascular Service Line, which includes cardiology, vascular, and cardiothoracic services.
