Manager, Nursing PACU - MGH

Job Summary Directs, plans and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care. May provide direct patient care. Essential Functions Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff. Ensure a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff. Coordinate unit activities with other hospital departments. Develop and implement staffing plans.Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required or Master’s Degree Nursing preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse RN – MA license required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS Certification) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate preferred. Experience: Nursing experience 2‑3 years required; nursing leadership experience 1‑2 years preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills; strong commitment to clinical excellence; ability to remain calm in stressful situations; knowledgeable of care required by respective age groups. Job Details Employment Type: Full‑time evening position. Shift: 11 AM to 9 PM or 10 AM to 8:30 PM. Work Location: 267 Charles Street, Onsite. Weekly Hours: 40. Employee Type: Regular.
