Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Location: On-Site role in Minneapolis, MN

Pay Rate: $24 - $28 / hour

Job Description:

We are currently hiring for a Medical Billing Specialist. Duties will consist of correctly processing claims based on payor guidelines, submitting claims to insurance carriers in payor portals and electronically, following-up on denied or rejected claims, calling patients with outstanding balances and attempt to resolve patient accounts by collecting payments over the phone, documenting activities in the electronic health system, and working collaboratively with a high performing team as well as other duties as assigned.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a positive, warm and welcoming safe space for patients.
• Take inbound calls regarding patient payments, verify patient insurance, correct claims, submit claims to payors, follow-up on denied or rejected claims.
• Collect patient payments over the phone.
• Complete strong and clear documentation in the EHR system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in medical billing.
• Must have experience working in an EHR system.
• Must be able to work full time hours Monday thru Friday within the hours of 8AM-5PM CST.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must have strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be reliable for work with infrequent unexpected call outs, we will require references previous to hire.
• Must strong abilities in multitasking.
