Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $55.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Option 1: 4x12s, 1900–0730, no call. Option 2: 3x12s, 1900–0730 with call — call requirement of at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly. Night shift.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Key Responsibilities

• Float will be required to other NICU units or facilities if needed.
• Weekend coverage — every other unless the need changes.
• Care for patients with the following diagnoses: babies 22 weeks gestation and greater, abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP.
• Perform and assist with special procedures including: Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery.
• Operate and monitor special equipment including: Artic Sun, Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, Client Dual Incubators, Dreager Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with unit systems: Pyxis/Omnicell.
• Documentation system: EPIC — must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience.

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• STABLE certification required.
• SC (South Carolina) RN license required.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in the field required.
• No first-time travelers at this time — prior travel nursing experience required.
