We're looking for a Pipe Fabrication Technician to join a busy fabrication shop where you'll cut, thread, assemble, and prepare pipe for customer orders while supporting warehouse and shipping operations.

Albuquerque, NM | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | $21.50/Hour | Temp-to-Hire

What You'll Own

You'll help fabricate, prepare, and move pipe products while ensuring orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

• Pull, stage, and prepare customer pipe orders for shipment

• Load and unload trucks using sit-down forklifts and material handling equipment

• Operate pipe fabrication equipment including threaders, band saws, groove machines, and other shop machinery

• Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and assemble pipe to customer specifications

• Read and accurately use tape measures and gauges for quality verification

• Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications

• Maintain accurate production records and material counts

• Inspect forklifts and equipment before use and report maintenance concerns

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Assist with general warehouse and fabrication shop operations as needed

• Customer orders are completed accurately and shipped on time

• Pipe is fabricated to specification with minimal waste or rework

• Equipment is operated safely and efficiently

• Quality standards are consistently met

• Inventory and materials remain organized

• Safety procedures are followed throughout every shift

What You Bring

• 6-8 months of recent machine operation, fabrication, or maintenance experience

• At least 6 months of recent sit-down forklift experience

• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure

• Experience using gauges or measuring tools for quality inspections

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fabrication equipment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

• Strong math, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Where You May Stand Out

• Experience with pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutters, or automatic welding equipment

• Fire sprinkler pipe fabrication experience

• Warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling experience

• Automotive, diesel, farm equipment, or industrial maintenance background

• Experience operating forklifts and powered industrial equipment

• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and warehouse operations

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
