Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional in the greater Denver, CO area, with assignments spanning elementary, middle, and high school environments. Positions offer full-time hours for the 2024-2027 school years, working directly with students who have significant or severe needs. You’ll make an immediate, positive impact in school communities while enjoying the variety of different campuses and age groups.
To be considered, you must submit two completed, professional RefAssured references at the time of application. Candidates without these references cannot be considered.
Ideal Background & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 full year of experience in SPED (Special Education) classroom settings
- Strongly preferred: Experience supporting significant/severe caseloads
- Flexibility to be reassigned to different schools and age groups throughout the contract
- Willingness to assist with toileting and diapering needs as required
- Able to start assignments punctually: 7:40am for elementary, 8:00am for middle or high school
- Reliable personal transportation (public transit, ride share, or taxi services do not meet requirements)
- Must agree to district-mandated fingerprinting immediately after accepting an offer; any charges or convictions will result in disqualification
- Location must be included with your application
Responsibilities include supporting instruction and daily living needs, working one-on-one or within small groups, and adapting to various caseloads across several school locations. The weekly commitment will vary (between 34–37.5 hours) based on assigned site.
